I have a Bachelors degree from the University of South Carolina in Media Arts and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina. Art is my process. Most of my designs are made from my drawings and paintings. The collection "Butterfly Garden" is a combination of traditional processes along with embroidery. I also enjoy ceramics, photography, printmaking and watercolor. I love integrating different techniques and materials into my designs. I believe in being a life long learner and love trying new things. I have recently experimented with flower pressing.
I love to create with my family and friends in mind. I believe that personal connection makes the process more enjoyable. When I imagine my niece wearing a dress in this design, or my sister decorating a room with that design, it brings me joy as I navigate the design process. Ultimately the world around us is where my inspiration lies.
